Chia Seed Bonbons

I love these energy balls! They are quick and easy to make, require no baking and are a great way get protein, fibre and omega-3 healthy fats into your diet. This nutrient-packed treat will support your hormonal health, helping balance energy and mood.

Ingredients: 

  • 1/4 cup tahini

  • 1/4 cup (or less) maple syrup

  • 1/2 cup milled chia seeds

  • 1/4 cup ground almonds

  • 2 tbsps cocoa

  • 5 tbsps desiccated coconut

Makes about 30 bonbons

Method:

Beat the tahini and syrup together with a fork.

Add in the chia seeds, ground almonds and cocoa powder and blend into a smooth paste.

Put the coconut in a bowl. Roll a small cherry-size ball of mixture between the palms of your hands to form a bonbon. Drop each one into the coconut and roll it around to coat. You could try different coatings like berry powder or ground hazelnuts.

Store in the fridge, if not eaten
