“I’ve lost 20kg and am finally free of painkillers”

When I came to Leticia for help I had been on steroids and strong painkillers for 18 months, trying to manage my autoimmune arthritis. I needed support in coming off the steroids, as they were weakening my immune system and I getting recurring chest infections. I had tried following an anti-inflammatory diet, but was unable to sustain this. I was also very overweight.

In our first session, Leticia started me on a low carbohydrate, gluten and dairy free diet to help regulate my blood sugars and settle the inflammation in my body. She also recommended that I talk with my GP about changing my HRT to improve my sleep and anxiety, which I did. After that, we focused on my digestive health, repairing the lining of my gut. Through increasing my intake of fibre and the use of supplements, including digestive enzymes, I started to increase the absorption of nutrient from my food.
